Good day everyone out there! This is your host of the Land Time with Jing, Jing Chai. I’m excited to share news in the Antelope Valley of Los Angeles County regarding real estate investment.

I received a call from California High Speed Rail Authority on April 30, 2013 because one of my parcels in Los Angeles County is in the high speed rail station area. I need to give them permission to do an enviromental study. I was also informed of the California High Speed Rail Construction Schedule (see the link and picture below). I am sharing what I know from this officer and the California High Speed Rail Authority’s website.  Based on the business plan, in 2022 I can take the high speed train from my property to Los Angeles County downtown, and in 2029, I can take the train from Bay Area to Los Angeles downtown. The travel time will be reduced to 1/3 of the current driving time.

This will significantly impact the land value around the high speed railroad because of the demand for land to construct the railroad and hoouse development projects. With transportation comes population growth, creating more demand for land.
